TRINAYA is a brand of TARA & Co., a firm based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "TRINAYA," it means TARA & Co. operating the TRINAYA brand.

What we collect

- Your payment information (handled by our payment gateways — we never see or store your card details)
- The items you ordered

- Your browser type and device
- Pages you viewed and how long you stayed
- Where you came from (the link that brought you here)
We do not collect or store sensitive personal data — health information, biometric data, financial account details, religion, caste, sexual orientation, or any special category data under India's DPDP Act or Australia's Privacy Act.
Why we collect it

- To send you order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery notifications
- To respond to questions you send us
- To improve our website and understand which products people are looking at
- To meet legal obligations — tax records, customs documentation, GST filings
That is the full list. We do not use your data for anything else.
Who we share it with
We share your data only with the services we use to operate TRINAYA:
- Payment processing: Razorpay (India), Stripe (Australia and international)
- Shipping and logistics: Shiprocket (India), DHL Express / FedEx International (Australia)
- Analytics: Google Analytics, Meta Pixel
- Accounting and tax: Our chartered accountant and the Government of India for GST filings
We do not share your data with any party for marketing purposes outside this list.
International transfer of data
Because we ship to Australia, some of your data may be processed outside India — for example, by Stripe (United States) or DHL (multiple countries). When this happens, we ensure these services have adequate privacy protections in place, either through contractual safeguards or by being located in jurisdictions with privacy laws aligned to India's DPDP Act and Australia's Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for seven years, because Indian tax law requires us to.
We keep website analytics data for 14 months, after which Google Analytics anonymises it automatically.
If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so within 30 days, except for the parts we are legally required to keep (tax records, primarily).
Your rights
Under India's DPDP Act and Australia's Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Ask us what data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time
- Object to the processing of your data
- Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at hello@trinayashop.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have mishandled your data and we cannot resolve your concern directly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India (for Indian customers) or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (for Australian customers).
Cookies
We use cookies to remember what is in your cart, to keep you logged in, and to understand how people use our site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site (cart, checkout, login) will stop working if you do.
We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
Children
TRINAYA's products are not designed for or marketed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post a notice on our homepage. For material changes, we will also email affected customers.
